Common signs

Sound familiar?

✓ Low mood or numbness most days

✓ Nothing feels worth the effort it takes

✓ Sleep too much, too little, or broken

✓ Appetite or weight changed without trying

✓ Concentration and decisions feel heavy

✓ Guilt or hopelessness out of proportion

Not a fit: A checklist is not a diagnosis — an evaluation is. If several of these fit, it's worth a conversation.

How we evaluate it

A full diagnostic evaluation — history, medications, sleep, substances — plus screening for the conditions that masquerade as depression: thyroid disease, ADHD, perimenopause, bipolar-spectrum illness. Labs when they change the plan, PHQ-9 tracked from visit one.

How we evaluate it

Treatment starts with the evidence: medication management with real follow-up, individual therapy, or both — tracked with validated measures so we know it's working, and escalated honestly when it isn't. For depression that has resisted two or more medications, the ladder continues: Spravato® and IV ketamine, delivered on site.

Cost & insurance

Evaluations and follow-ups bill to our participating plans or transparent self-pay. Benefits verified and your expected cost reviewed before your first visit.

What measured care looks like

PHQ-9 tracked at every visit

The Patient Health Questionnaire is scored before each appointment, so improvement — or its absence — is visible early and the plan changes when the data says to. Illustrative course shown; individual results vary.

What's different here

When depression isn't depression

Low energy, poor sleep, flat mood and slow thinking are also how thyroid disease, untreated ADHD, perimenopause, sleep apnea, medication side effects and the depressive phase of bipolar illness present. We screen for all of them at the first visit because the treatment for each is different — and an antidepressant given for the wrong reason can make some of them worse.

PHQ-9 at every visit. If the number hasn't moved in six weeks at a real dose, the plan changes — it doesn't wait.

Depression questions

  • Most antidepressants take 2–6 weeks at an adequate dose; therapy compounds over weeks. We track your numbers every visit so improvement — or its absence — is visible early, and the plan changes when the data says to.

  • Then the first step is a re-evaluation, not medication number six. See what treatment-resistant actually means — and the ladder past it.

  • Yes — with parents in the room, school context in the plan, and the same measurement discipline.
